"Today is the second time in three weeks I have listened to my daughter on the phone with someone from that office and both times the person has been so rude. I work at one of the hospitals downtown and I’m not sure how anyone working with patients aren’t trained and expected to speak with people with kindness and compassion."

"Called to make my child an appointment for a physical today 7/28/23. A lady name Octavia answered the phone laughing in my ear. When trying to discuss details of the appointment she could be heard huffing and puffing on the phone. Usually when I call all my needs are met and I love CPA. However because of how unpleased I was I hung up without making an appointment. Please educate staff on how to be professional when working in the customer service industry"

"I don’t think we have ever visited the James island office without waiting 40+ minutes and that’s just to SEE THE PROVIDER. We’ve been with coastal for 8 years, recently started taking my toddler to another pediatrician and we have had 3 visits with them, all under 30 minutes. I love the staff but the lack of care for what the time of their patients/patients families is so discouraging and really kills your experience with the practice. This is not a Covid issue either. This has been an issue for 3+ years and it’s growing old! You can hear staff chatting it up outside of your room vs being in your room getting you out of the office! So frustrating. We saw Dr. Sutter today and he was amazing"

"I have been with the James Island practice for over 21 years and the quality of service and professionalism has definitely declined since Coastal took over. I am looking for a new pediatrician. They book their doctors with too many patients and the wait time is unbearable. My last well visit for my baby took over 2 hours for us to even see the doctor. If you don't schedule appointments first thing in the morning, forget anything else you had planned for the day."

"We see Dr. Giles at Coastal Pediatric. She is great with our daughters and gives us a lot of her time. She also really worked with us when I had a concern that had been blown off by other doctors. Now my 2 year old is seeing a specialist that Dr. Giles recommended. We are really happy with the care she provides. I have been frustrated in the past with long wait times after arrival. In addition, I have been called to reschedule my appointment on several occasions, which seems like a lot since we have only been patients there for a year and a half. That being said, I accept the frustrations because I like the care by the nurses and Dr. Giles."
