"I love this office so much! Dr. Stroud is such an amazing and caring OB, the best I’ve ever had. With my pregnancy with my son I went to the location in Summerville but ended up coming to this location to be seen for care after birth. I had lots of tearing and stitches so I ended up coming here so I could be seen by a woman since my current OB at the time was a man. Nothing wrong with him, he was great. I just felt more comfy having a woman look at the stitches and do the internal checks to make sure all was healing right. I loved the location and Dr. Stroud so much that I just made a permanent switch and come here for all my feminine needs now. In July of 2023 I had a pregnancy loss and Dr. Stroud agreed to test my hormones to see if there was any imbalance even though I’d previously had a live birth with no issues. I was so incredibly thankful she listened to me and heard my concerns since I did in-fact need to be on supplements to sustain a pregnancy and now am 13 weeks along with a healthy and thriving baby. I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I’m at as quickly without her help. Thank you a thousand times over to this Summerville Women’s Care location. Everyone is wonderful and amazing and I couldn’t be happier with the care I always receive from you all."

"The doctors and staff are fine. But every single time I need a refill on my birth control, it is such a hassle. I’ve complained multiple times, each time I have to refill my prescription and no change is ever made. The doctor or nurses never fill my prescription on time, I always have to scramble to call CVS and then call multiple times to the doctors office to request a refill. I typically go 2-3 days without having any birth control pills EVERY time I need to refill my prescription. This is honestly ridiculous and should not be the case."

"I had to find a new doc and chose SWC because it was the first one to show up when I searched my old doc office who closed down. They were able to get me in very quickly which I appreciated. I saw Karen and then Dr. Amy Miller. Karen was kind and professional and I enjoyed talking with her and felt comfortable going thru my history with her. Dr. Miller was simply amazing! She was kind and sincere, she made me feel comfortable and really encouraged me to continue with my weight loss and to start toning certain areas...which helped because I have since started working out! I'm so thankful I was able to get it and look forward to coming here for my annual checkups. UPDATE: It would be nice to know when a service you have done is not covered by your insurance beforehand. Especially when you asked first for it to be checked."

"UPDATE: I ended up switching doctors at almost 30 weeks pregnant. This whole office was a mess. The billing department consistently messed up and never answered the phone and never returned messages from me or the insurance company. I ended up having a situation with a nurse that involved her calling me selfish and telling me that "this pregnancy isn't about you, it was about your baby." The scheduling department messed up the day I was supposed to get a couple tests done so I had a family member come visit me for the day so I wouldn't go alone and the office was like "oops, we told you wrong." The wait was always outrageous but I figured that was just the nature of the beast. Once I switched doctors I realized how much junk I put up with that I didn't have to. At my new office, my time was respected and I was respected. I cannot express how happy I am that I did not stick with this office. Ladies, you do not have to settle. You can have the birth you dream of by a provider that respects you. I cannot recommend the office of Dr. Miller enough, especially for first time moms. I walked into her office for my first prenatal appointment feeling a million feelings, with the main one being fear. Dr. Miller took as much time as needed to listen my concerns, give me the appropriate support and resources, and has been consistent each visit since then. I cannot comment on the other doctors yet since I have not seen them, but the reception staff is kind and patient. I have zero regrets with my decision on choosing Summerville Women's Care in North Charleston as my OBGYN provider. I want to also add that this office has done a great job involving my husband in these visits as well."
