"Eye Guys in Aiken is an excellent choice for advanced eye care. Dr. Lockwood is excellent, and the whole staff is professional, competent and courteous. I much prefer it to the Augusta office, which is a vast enterprise. My only complaint about Eye Guys Aiken (true of Augusta, too, I suppose) is that their app is not up to snuff. I can never see a receipt for payment, and it's also very difficult to update patient information. Eye Guys isn't getting their money's worth on this bit of technology. UPDATE: It appears that the billing component of the online patient portal is now functioning better. (I'm still not sure about the phone app, which I no longer use.) Online, I was able to see how much I owe, pay my bill using my credit card, and immediately view the payment receipt under Messages. So I think that's fixed. I would be nice if, in addition to posting an amount due, a payment breakdown could be included to show the portion covered by insurance and so on. I know that I can try to pull up an EOB on my insurance company's website, but it would be more convenient if that information were available here, as well. I believe that information is generally included in a paper bill sent to my mailing address, but it will be a while before I receive that, as I'm away from home for an extended period. Thanks!"

"I picked eye guys when I moved to SC a year ago because of the great reviews and it being a one stop shop for everything. Since I heard the announcement while I was there, I will not be returning. I feel that you have chosen the almighty dollar over the needs of your customers. There’s more money in surgery than supplying other services. That’s your prerogative, of course. Just wonder how many of your original customers are going to remain when all is said and done."
