"They are horrible at returning phone calls or emails. I have called several times but no one has responded."

"Antique Violins of Augusta is a wonderful violin shop. Jonathan and Nathaniel are so kind and knowledgeable about what they do. I needed to get my viola bow rehaired and they said it would take a week, but it was done in only a few days. This was my first visit to the shop, but it certainly will not be my last because I completely trust them with anything my instrument might need in the future."

"I took my daughter here to get her violin restrung. When I entered, I was taken back by the charm of the painstaking woodwork, furniture and décor of the gallery which lent an ambience resembling a rustic- elegant style. The establishment was clean and inviting and the friendly red carpet service was very much appreciated. We were able to get our instrument strung on the spot. The work and experience was nothing short of par excellence. I plan on coming back soon to get repair work done on our cello."

"Now that I have discovered that Augusta has a luthier, this has become my favorite spot. I have taken my instrument into the shop to have a few repairs done, including reshaping a bridge, adjusting the sound post, planing the fingerboard, and reshaping the neck of my violin. The quality of the work was top notch, and I had my violin back the same day for the minor work. For the more complicated repair, the owners actually let me borrow one of their instruments while mine was being worked on, a really nice service that I hadn’t even expected. Nathaniel and Jonathan are both very friendly and helpful, and you can tell they really care about the work they do. Antique Violins of Augusta is now my go-to music store."

"A customer of ours here in Columbia was in Augusta to play at a church there. This person's violin bridge broke while tuning. This also caused their sound post to fall. They called me on my personal number. I called Nathaniel on his phone and he met this person at their shop, cut a new bridge and re-set the post. He did this while the customer got a quick bite to eat. They were very pleased with the work, the service and the price. I'm happy that they were there and able to tend to this player's needs. We work very closely with this shop. We are FREINDLY competitors. There's enough business for both of us to survive, (as well as some others). We are very proud of the relationship we forge with both our customers and other shops in the surrounding areas. The violin business is known for NOT being very honest. HOWEVER this shop strives (as we do) to be extremely straight forward and honest in every aspect of their business. They are a nice asset to the Augusta String Community"
