The Chandler School, located at 2900 Augusta Street in Greenville, South Carolina, is a specialized educational institution catering to students in grades K-8th with language-based learning differences such as dyslexia. Our dynamic and thriving environment focuses on hands-on learning activities, with all faculty trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach. We believe in the potential of all students and provide individualized tutorials and small group instruction to support their academic needs.

Our philosophy emphasizes learning through lived experiences, offering unique opportunities for students to explore and gain practical life skills. From camping trips to educational visits, such as to the National Air and Space Museum or the Lincoln Memorial, we provide a diverse range of learning experiences.

Founder Dana Blackhurst believes in the value of making mistakes as a crucial part of the learning process.
