"Do NOT go here if you can. Go somewhere else at all costs. This hospital is directly responsible for the death of my father. IMO. In short, they drugged him at 85 yrs old because he was confused and didn’t understand why he was there. When I asked the Dr why he was given what he was given, of course, he couldn’t answer. Over the course of a mere 12-13 days he lost 55% of his body weight. Think about that. Why? Neglect. No food for weeks. I didn’t even recognize him when they did allow me to come and collect him. Drug the angry confused old guy and maybe he’ll go home or just “go” quietly. Unacceptable and avoidable. If you love yourself or your loved ones then DONT GO HERE. ZERO STARS. I deeply deeply regret not doing more for my father and not suing this place. And for the record I never received a bill from them. Not 1. Their abuse is on them and their conscience. Oh wait... They don’t have one."

"My husband had a 3-4 day history of abdominal pain causing nausea and vomiting which resulted in dehydration and a severe migraine. Dr. Snowman and his nursing team took wonderful care of my husband. It is never enjoyable to have to go to the emergency room while you’re on vacation and I’m glad the staff took good care of my husband."

"I went in with a heart attack my treatment could not have been better. The nurses where great the food was good. The doctors and nurses in the cath lab are outstanding. Being 4 hours from home I was worried about care. I need not have worried. The people around this hospital should feel honored to have this facility."

"I would choose zero stars if I could. We were vacationing from out of state when my daughter woke up sick. We attempted to visit your facility on 10/13. After sitting in a room for almost 3 hours without a visit from a doctor We opted to pay out of pocket to seek medical attention else where. I feel for the residents of HHI if this is the care they receive on a regular basis. Next time I know not to waste my time."

"We drove in to Hilton Head from Carencro, La for our yearly Golfweek Amateur Tour and on the way here experienced really bad stomach pains which turned into lots of pain in lower right abdomen. Checked into our rental and headed straight to Hilton Head Hospital. Where we are from this ER treatment NEVER happens. I was brought straight to back, started IV and took blood, she took me straight to room where I was greet by my amazing dr and nurse who had my pain under control in 5 minutes. Everyone from ER, Ct scan, to surgical staff were phenomenal. I can’t say enough how blessed I was by each staff member who handled my care."
