"The shop had much more than I anticipated. Example is the clothing line. I was there to get a gift card and not being a boater I felt a bit overwhelmed by the variety. There appeared to be plenty of staff in the store but no one approached me and asked if I had questions or needed assistance."

"Extremely over priced and poor stock rotation. West Marine has come to coastal regions and systematically pushed out local vendors of marine goods in the same fashion that Walmart comes in to small towns and destroys their economies. See photos posted with this review for examples. They have inflated their prices astronomically because they are now the only retailer around that has many of these items. We allowed this to happen sadly. I have spoken with managers at multiple stores and they had the attitude of “nothing can be done about it”, “deal with it”. If you must shop here you are forced to pay double to triple of what other stores sell it for or walk around the store price matching everything to online retailers. What a waste of everyone’s time. Don’t support West Marine if you have a local supplier of marine goods. They have been bought out by a holdings company that doesn’t care about you or our boating community. All they care about is the bottom dollar."
