"Very impressed, and probably one of the better pedicures I've gotten in Charleston! I have had a slew of sub-par pedis lately at various places around town. I used to go to this location when it was the Water Room, but it fell off my radar after it changed ownership, and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the waterless thing. Well after reading an article about how much gross bacteria is harbored in all of those jets, I immediately remembered Varnish Lane and booked an appointment. I didn't miss the water at all! The facility is VERY clean, and I even noticed the receptionist wiping down the entire chair with a disinfectant wipe after guests left, which was very impressive. It was a very professional experience from start to finish, and my toes and feet have never looked better! It is a very calm and relaxing environment and wonderful not to be exposed to all those nasty chemicals. 10/10!"

"Extremely disappointed. Didn't realize it until I got home, but I had a 15% discount that was not applied. It was originally, but the service had to change because the technician was too afraid to do the service requested because of my cuticle state-- that she sort of induced by being too harsh on them. As soon as I got home, the polish started coming off of my right hand. I shouldn't have to pay for gel to have a lasting manicure."

"This was my first visit. I love this salon; it’s clean and peaceful and the staff is great. I received a Luxe pedi from Patricia (hope I got the name right). The waterless procedure is really good, moisturizing and earth friendly. I can honestly say this is the best pedicure I’ve had in quite sometime."
