Old Oyster Factory Restaurant

"Our waiter and atmosphere was 5 star. I ordered the crab, spinach and artichoke dip. Unfortunately it was not what I expected. It was crab and Parmesan cheese dip. There was 0 spinach and I couldn’t find a piece of artichoke. The crab was fresh so that was a plus but fish and cheese without the spinach felt too rich and so it felt heavy for an appetizer. I then ordered the tuna appetizer. good but not great. The sauce was under the tuna and the tuna sat on top like if it was cut unseasoned and thrown on a bed of sauce so I had to mix and mix to get flavor unto the tuna. The seaweed had good flavor though. The marscapone soufflé dessert was better than my meal. The berries were fresh and the almond in the crispy cup tasted perfect with the mascarpone. The dessert was good and so it didn’t need to be dressed up as much as it was. They put two squirts on each side of the plate of whipped cream. It was room temp and contrasted the fresh and cold mascarpone soufflé so the whip just sat like decoration. The desert could have just been served with just the almond cup and soufflé with berries. Overall though I enjoyed walking the deck and seeing all the oyster shells on the floor. My old fashioned was spot on classic! Beautiful view in Hilton head I must say."

"Hands down the best oysters I’ve ever had and we tried two different baked ones and several raw oysters. They are virginia James river oysters which are way less salty than other oysters. The low country Rockefeller oysters are amazing with the turnip greens and pimiento cheese I could have ate 10 plates of them. The blackened swordfish was a little over cooked but we were seated 20 minutes before they were too close."

"The food was outstanding. The service was just right. The views were spectacular. It was a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. The chocolate mousse was incredible. The grouper was delicious and the mashed potatoes were a great substitution for the wild rice pilaf."

"We made reservations online for 9 pm. We did not know that there was a change in hours from 10pm to 9pm. We arrived at 9 and was graciously seated by the hostess. Once seat we were seated, our server Brittany came to the table and was absolutely wonderful. Brittany assured us not to rush, that the hours were just changed to 9pm. Brittany made us feel extremely welcomed. After a long drive from Maine, it was a pleasure to have such an amazing server that made us feel like family. We felt so blessed that everyone from the kitchen staff to the manager made us feel welcomed. Jill and I purchased the kitchen an end of the night beer for making us feel so welcomed and accommodating us. Then their is our server, who was absolutely amazing!!!! We can not say enough great things about Brittany. We truly felt like family. Thank you for everything, Brittany!!!"
