"Never in my life have I met a hairstylist more unforgiving, soulless, unprofessional and rude as Jake Grant. I got a perm and highlight service form him last year. I contemplated for a long time as to if I should make this post, but I think it’s most fair that I bring out the truth about him. At first we miscommunicated about my hair color dye so I came back for a comp service, but I gave him a hefty tip and gift as thank you for doing that for me. He literally asked me the same questions only one week after our first service as to why I am missing a chunk of hair and same exact other questions like he has dementia and doesn’t want to get to know his clients. He lacks empathy and is unforgiving. I have a good memory and in no way I remember him telling me which specific products to use for my hair, nor that I should only wash it with cold water- as he claimed he told me. A few months later when I told him the color had faded away, he rudely said I am lying to him about using the right products and that some products (I got second and third hair professional opinion and any products I used were all color safe.. and not damaging to the hair as he falsely claimed!) and that I shouldn’t blame the hair stylist since he told me how to take care of my hair (when he actually hasn’t) and that hair is expensive to take care of and I was offended I expected another free treatment. First, he didn’t properly tell me how to take care of my colored hair, and second, there is no reason to be that rude, mean and unprofessional to a client. Why can’t you be normal and explain what had harpooned and what you can do instead of point fingers saying I refuse to take care of my own hair and expect free touch ups? Of course I didn’t know and didn’t have any bad intentions. He literally said he will report me for harassment and then blocked me on his phone from further communications. I tried to explain by calling the salon, but they never pick up the phone and have the worst communication system. He is by far the most emotionally immature and unprofessional 32 year old person (if you can even call him a person) I’ve ever met in my life. I regret ever getting any services from there as he overcharged (my next hair salon I went to did a great job and charged less) and I was nothing but honest, nice, and real with him. Do not put yourself through the pain of trying to be his client.. it isn’t worth losing your soul and energy over!"
