"Room 109 had black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and the marble floor threshold in the bath came out. Room was sold as smoke free but distinctive smell of smoke with heavy overlay of plug in fragrance. Chips in wall paint. Very old bedspreads. Room 3 weeks ago was totally clean and repainted with new floor."

"Extremely clean hotel in a quaint town. Sweet service desk who checked on me to make sure I was happy. The room smelled really nice and it was a safe area. The toilet was running so that was annoying but it was the best sleep I had the whole trip. The breakfast was okay. I wish they had weekly discounts."

"The room was dirty, hair and dirt all over the box spring right below where your pillow sits. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Rust all over the lamps, floor filthy. Security chain for the door broken. Our TV did not work at all and we contacted the front desk. The girl could not figure it out and let us know we could get some compensation when checked out in the morning. Of course the next morning it was a different person and we got nothing. We just wanted $10-$15, less than 10 percent of our total cost. Way too expensive for the condition the room and hotel was in. The snack and drink machines were smashed in and out of order. Do not recommend."

"DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! The pictures used in their ad are TOTALLY MISLEADING! This property is NASTY! My first indication should have been that the desk chair for the agent at the checking counter looked as if it had been chewed up by a large dog. It was torn to pieces. Upon closing the door after entering my room, the first thing that I saw was tissue that the last guest had shoved into the peephole on the door. Housekeeping should have removed this when… OR IF… the room was cleaned. I then went to close the sheer curtains and heavy drapes for privacy. In closing the sheers, I noticed that the were LITERALLY COVERED WHITH MOLD! (See attached picture) I turned to the phone to report this to the front desk and saw that the metal lamp next to the phone was heavily rusted and appeared to have black furry looking substance growing on it. (See attached pictures) I called the front desk to request a different room. The young lady who was working that night informed me that, since I had already entered the room, she couldn’t change my room. She said that only the General Manager could reassign my room and “he lived too far away to come in” to change my room. The next morning, the desk agent moved me to another room. The ceiling in this room was cracking and peeling. (See attached picture) In addition, the ice machine in the common area, near the stairs, has mold from the dispensing spout all the way down to the drain. (See pictures) This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and is DEFINITELY NOT UP TO CHOICE HOTEL STANDARDS!"

"I was in room 101 and upon entering the room it had a slight smell. The toilet kept making running noises and then when I took a shower the water went from warm to unbearable hot. Got up early to eat breakfast and the only thing they had was sugarless cereal, waffles, and 3 apples. Lol! The price for this hotel is way too high. I paid $199.35 for one night and the stay wasn't worth the money. The only reason why I stayed was that all the other hotels were booked I should have known that was a red sign."
