"We went to Crabdaddy's River Adventures August 17, 2017. Not your typical dolphin tour, this is much better!! I took a dolphin tour in Tybee last year and this is so much nicer. You are not all crammed along the sides of a boat hoping to be on the side with dolphins. You do not have another dolphin tour boat right next to you all looking at the same dolphins. It's just Captain John and your group. One family at a time. :) Captain John met us at the boat ramp and got the two of us settled. We then set off winding through Lazaretto Creek looking for dolphin. We followed the creek all the way to the giant sandbar off Tybee Island's south beach, by Little Tybee Island. We saw a few dolphin but were blown away by the chance to get out and walk around on the giant sandbar. We found a few shells and a sand dollar (don't worry, it was already dried up) and walked around for a while. Amazing!!! I can't get over how cool it was to visit. No one had been on the sandbar before us that morning. Once high tide arrives, the "island" is gone. We spotted a few more dolphins and then just relaxed and enjoyed the ride and view. On our way back to the ramp we spotted a flock of roseate spoonbills! Roseate spoonbills are pink birds and not seen in the area often. At one point, Captain John stopped the motor for us watch a moma dolphin and her baby swim around, and to watch dolphins feeding! So neat to be able to just hear the dolphins breathing. Captain John is very knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend Crabdaddy's River Adventures!"
