Tragar Express - COD Heating Oil

"Tragar is a great company if you're on top of the work, signed on to their auto delivery and able to make payments on time. HOWEVER, if life throws you a curveball and you happen to fall an inch behind, BEWARE... There is one particular NASTY NASTY person that works there and I will share the story of this person with you. Unfortunately, I had fallen behind in my oil payments in the Fall of 2022. I lost my job, and had some difficultly. Sadly, the oil company renewed my auto delivery & service billing, but failed to renew my pricing plan. So they dumped a full tank at about $1 more per gallon on me, and I fell behind on my bill. I tried and tried to come to an arrangement with them, and a terribly unprofessional associate named Diane D. refused to answer emails, spoke terribly rudely on the phone to me and basically made me feel like the $900 I owed them was the end of the world to her. I asked them to adjust my service contract b/c I had fallen behind on billing I wasn't able to utilize the 12 month service contract that was auto renewed, HOWEVER the 12 months of coverage didn't extend while I was unable to pay the balance. In other words I was going to have 4 months of a contract I couldn't use even for a tune up, because I fell behind on an auto delivery that I got gauged on, because I didn't renew the pricing agreement. Well, that didn't stop them from dropping the oil on me. THEN it gets better. THANKFULLY I was able to receive a HEAP benefit for my home, which gave me delivery of oil for the Winter of 2022/23, and I received my tax refund, so I pay Tragar in full. I OWED THEM $0. Well, the HEAP benefit included a Tune up & Service. After all that I still wanted to go with Tragar because I thought that although Diane D. was a nasty nasty human, the service was excellent & everyone else in that entire company was excellent. SO I get a call from Tragar to schedule the HEAP subsidized tune up and then a DAY LATER, Tragar calls HEAP and says they won't do it for me because "I'm a Difficult customer." Diane poking her nose in where it doesn't belong thinking she owns the company. She thinks she's doing you a favor by delivering oil instead of you being the customer. Well, I am hoping for a call back to see how I can get help. They were a great company, but you have one over zealous individual really being horrible to customers. So BEWARE. They are nice & kind, heck from top to bottom, but don't ever try to explain to billing (especially Diane that a life event has thrown you a curveball, because she is a horrible person to try to work with.) BUYER BEWARE."

If you sign up as a new customer they give you $10 off your fuel delivery using coupon code 10off. I initially had trouble with the coupon code but the service manager Carlos was helpful getting the credit applied to my account. I was ordering from another COD provider but found Tragar to have the lowest pricing and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great oil company."
