Bop Shop Records is a vibrant music store located at 1460 Monroe Avenue in Rochester, New York. We offer a wide selection of vinyl records, CDs, and music memorabilia for music enthusiasts of all genres. Our store hours are Wednesday from 12 pm to 5 pm, Thursday to Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. "What a phenomenal shop. I only had time to check out one record shop on a recent trip to Rochester, and everybody told me this was THE one to visit. I'm glad I listened. I planned to just pop in to check it out, but I stayed for well over an hour and I left with a stack of gems, including copies of Maggot Brain, New Grass, and Scheherazade on Living Stereo that were all in great condition, and sounded just wonderful once I got them home and played them. The proprieters were really nice and informative and a lot of fun to talk to. These guys love records, and even more so, they love music. I've encountered a few truly wonderful record shops, like Atomic in LA, or Jerry's here in Pittsburgh, and Bop Shop is in many ways even better than those other venerable joints. Everything out for sale was in really remarkable condition, and that isn't always true in other shops. Discogs has altered the whole landscape of vinyl shopping, but places like Bop Shop offer an experience that is more fun and thrilling in a way that online shopping can't ever re-create."
