"It's unfortunate because I drove 7 hrs from out of state to have an in person consult with Mr. Hammond in early Nov 2020. I was very excited to have him on my case after the consult he seemed very knowledgeable and motivated to help me out. I paid the full retainer he was asking on day 1. That was the last time i spoke with Mr. Hammond about my case. After that I made several attempts via email and phone to get in contact it seemed each time I spoke with or emailed a different staff member from his office. I had a change in my case and was informed by a secretary that my retainer would go up. No problem. I spent the next two weeks trying to find out how much more I had to pay and a way to pay since their credit card machine was down. Eventually they stopped returning my messages. A month later they reached out for a phone consultation so I took time off work to be available for the time they set. I called the office and Mr. Hammond was not there for our scheduled time and they never called back. So I sought new legal help. I requested a refund to my retainer since they basically did no work on my case and of course no reply so I'm sure I'll never see that money. It's again unfortonate because Mr. Hammond seemed like a great lawyer to work with."
