"My wedding here was incredible! Many, many people told us it was the best wedding they ever attended. The venue is so beautiful--both when you are outside on the deck and from the ballroom inside in case of rain. The food was unbelievable. Our pictures on the premises turned out so great. And Bob is just an incredible event manager both while planning the event and during the event. Our wedding would not have been possible without him. He was incredibly responsive and helpful before the event, and on the day he managed the staff and pacing of the event perfectly. I have no idea how he manages to be so nice and helpful while under so much pressure all the time! He was on-site and running around from the morning of our wedding until after every guest was gone and we appreciated every minute of his hard work. I am so glad we had our reception here and I can't recommend it enough! Also for context on some of the older reviews, I think in the last few years, Bob has come in and really improved the place after it had declined. Bob has overseen renovations of many parts of the event space just in the 1.5 years we've known him, and has recently added some elegant and beautiful new elements. Now it's the only venue we looked at in Westchester that didn't look like it was last redecorated in 1985. So I advise anyone considering MBYC to visit the venue and talk to Bob before judging based on old reviews."

"Poorly run club with dishonest staff My family belonged to the MBYC for 3 years. The first year was OK and the second and third years were downright ridiculous. During the first year, management continued making promises that their pool would be ready for the summer, however, after several “delays” they admitted that was not the case. We switched to a marine-only membership, since we left our sailboat at the docks and didn’t use any other facility. During our final year, the marine department damaged the bow pulpit on our boat- they must have smashed the bow into a piling after putting it in the water. The head of their marine dept, Sheehan, promised he would fix the pulpit and never got around to it. The tightened my lifelines to try and hide the damage but it was obvious- and telling they knew they were responsible for the damage. When we confronted him, he claimed he and his team did nothing wrong, and that we were the ones who caused damaged. Mind you, the boat was lifted out of the water by the club for the winter, and the damage was noticed the moment we got to the boat for the first time in the spring (it was never sailed). Other boaters had also complained about the poor workmanship by their marine team. Stay away from this club. Do yourself a favor and join a real yacht club- one that’s not for profit. Their management team is disgraceful and I wouldn’t trust them with a kayak, let alone a real sailboat."
