"I recently took my engagement ring to Egon's for a reset. My hope was to have the set updated to a more modern style (the ring was over 20 years old). Initially the staff was kind, but when the salesperson was unsure what to do - he asked his manager for assistance. She quickly dismissed me, told me the style of my ring was difficult to work with and so old they wouldn't even clean it, let alone reset it. I left feeling weirdly ashamed of my OG engagement ring. Thankfully, I went to another Jeweler (up the road about 1 mile) and they were kind, understanding and were able to reset my ring and created a new engagement ring, diamond wedding band for me AND a new wedding band using the remaining diamonds for my spouse. I would not recommend Egon. They made me feel bad and didn't want to work with me and my 'antiquated' ring. Go somewhere else unless you are the type of client they want to work with."

"The staff are always kind and courteous. I was disappointed with my last visit, however. I asked to have a watch wristband installed as I was missing a spring bar - also asked that a battery be installed in a separate vintage watch. Was charged $10 for them to install the band and tell me the vintage watch wouldn't work with the new battery and needed to be repaired and would take approximately 8-12 weeks to get it back. My issue is that a spring bar costs less than a $1.00 and they never bothered to try putting a new battery in the other watch. I ended up doing it myself and it continues to work absolutely fine. Unsure why they were dishonest about it."
