Stop & Shop Florist

"Poorly run store. The management allows the workers to take smoking breaks at the front door entrance. Its like walking through an ashtray. The produce is horrible. It takes a lot of work to find anything close to fresh. You can never find anyone in the meat dept. My wife no longer will shop here because the workers constantly stare at her and hit on her. It also seems like if you go on line with someone working at the register would go on break if they see you with a lot of items. You can hardly ever find anyone in the customer service department. The management seems asleep at the wheel. I used to work in a grocery store 25 years ago. My manager would yell at us for hanging out in view of customers. He said we can only take breaks off property or in the basement. These people wouldn't last one week in my old store. Some of the people on the registers are helpful but most have an attitude with the customers. Today for example there was a big snowstorm. So I left the car and walked to the store. I got everything to the register and realized I left my wallet at home. The front end attendant said he could ring me up at one of the registers since I knew my debit card number and they see me everyday for the past 20 years. But I had my daughter send me a photo of my debit card and drivers license. I also had my stop and shop card linked with my personal information. I went to the line and someone stopped the guy from doing it. He said you shouldn't do that. I said here is a copy of my license Stop n shop card and debit card so its obviously me since the same info is linked to my stop n shop card with name address and phone number. Also you know who I am. Then I spoke to the assistant manager who just a month ago helped me manually input my number because the magnetic strip was bad. They said that is different. I said how is it different. I can prove its mine. I said I walked here in a snowstorm and Ive been shopping here for 20 years. Do you really expect me to walk back in a snowstorm. I told them I will never shop in this store again."
