"Mitch Berner has been our company and personal accountant for over 15 years. He does our company returns, our parents' returns, and many friends, colleagues, and business contacts. He is super professional, personable, and even makes a personal "house call" to my father-in-law because of his debilitated health. I don't know "who" would negatively review Mitch and his firm negatively?? At first guess, my thought would be that these folks are probably difficult to work with? Mitch gets along with anyone and everyone and is cool, calm, and collected. You would be best served if he was your accountant. I wish I could give six stars!"

"if i could give zero stars i would. I am a mortgage loan officer and asked an account to write a letter for a client of his which is common practice for anyone applying for a mortgage loan and his reply was "i do not get paid enough for this i am tired of the everyone's mortgages i am not doing this" . Do not use this guy because apparently he does not care about his clients and only cares about the money being made"

"My husband and I were referred to this CPA firm by a friend who insisted we wouldn't find a better place then them in 2016. We contacted them and although we had moved to Texas, they were great in making arrangements in getting our 2015 returns filed via express mail, consultation by phone and further communication via email. Everything went well until we received notice from NY state regarding unpaid taxes. After several communications between Marino & Berner and the HR department of my job, Mr Berner refused to help us correct the matter. NY State is asking us to pay for unpaid taxes but in fact we had moved and lived in Texas since and all of 2015. We have been left with a balance owed and forced to hire another accountant (even though we fully paid for services at Marino & Berner). If you need accountant that will find remedies for obvious errors do not go here."
