"I am very disappointed with Twin Oaks at 21 Manor Court Hempstead NY!!! I submitted an application for an apartment in 2019. In July 2021 I received a letter from them stating that I was approved for a 1 bedroom apartment and I received a call from Sonya s assistant to make an appointment to see the manager Sonya. I arranged to go Friday July 30 at 1 pm with my husband to see Sonya the community manager. We arrived at around 12:55 pm. I rang the buzzer to be entered in the building and no answer. We called her office # and it rang a few times and went to vm. A gentleman/tenant was leaving the building and let us in. We knocked on Sonya s door and she was sitting in her office. She knew I was coming there for 1 pm and plus I spoke to her the day before to confirm we re coming. She let us in her office and she told me and my husband about the 1 bedroom apartment available. She had us fill out an application and she gave us a list of documents we had to submit in order to be considered for the apartment, paystubs, W2s, bank statements etc. I asked her if we can see the apartment now and she told us it wasn't ready, they re doing construction work on them. The interview ended. Me and my husband emailed her our W2s, paystubs, bank statements etc. Our deadline was Aug 4 to submit everything. I let a week pass and I emailed Sonya to see if she received it and what s the status. She didn't answer back. I called her office and her assistant answered and she told me she was away from her desk and she ll tell her to call me. No callback. I called back again a week later and left several messages on her vm and I emailed her. I only wanted to know if she received our documents and no response. My husband even called the office # and no response. We finally got fed up and a few weeks passed and I called the upper management office in Suffolk County NY to report what s going on. I spoke to the VP and he said he was going to look into it. A few weeks passed and no response by him either. All we wanted to know is if Sonya received our documents for the apartment and what s the status and it s December 3 2021 (5 months later) and we never got a response from no one!! No text message, no email nor a callback!!! If you knew you wasn't going to give us the apartment, WHY DID YOU EVEN SEND ME AN OFFER LETTER AND WASTE ME AND MY HUSBAND'S TIME!!!! THIS IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!"

"Joe is a top-notch professional property manager who accommodated my busy schedule to meet at my home for our initial appointment on a weekend. He offered sage advice when asked questions about property management, and walked through our home, pointing out what we could do to make our property the best home for potential tenants. His advice was amazing, and his time and energy were so much appreciated by my Wife and I."

"These apartments was nice when they first opened up 5 years ago but it declined over the years due to tenants/guests. There were electronics stolen from community room & equipment from gym. The machines never work & cost way too much; you better off with going to laundry across the street. The building are dirty, mice infestation, some tenants have roaches & I heard of bedbugs problem with several tenants too. I've lived at Twin Oaks since the building opened up & hate living here. I can't wait till my lease is up so I can move. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn't want anybody going through what I endured while residing here. The company had changed leasing managers close to a dozen times in a 5 year timespan. The super was changed several times & this is the 3rd Super for building. Pets are allowed that meet requirements as stated in lease agreement. Watch out for poop & urine also dogs without a leash. There are black boxes outside buildings for mice & glue traps in certain areas as well as apartments. It doesn't matter how clean you are if you have nasty people living next to you & in building. People that throw food, candy etc. on floor or spill/drop something without picking up. There's only two people that work here & that's the super along with leasing manager. I would give this place zero stars but it had to be rated & this review is truthful."

"I am one of the first tenants to reside at Twin Oaks, and I'm happy to say this is a wonderful place to live. Its quiet, clean and they do not put up with any nonsense at all. To me its one of the best apartment buildings in Hempstead."
