"Kathy VanNostrand was completely clueless during my visit a few months ago. It took three tries to actually get the appointment because she kept canceling on me. She tried to cancel the third one too because she was too "tired". I refused since I already showed up the week prior and the office didn't even bother to call me to tell me she wasn't there for my appointment. I live far away from this office because she's apparently the only one in the entire albany area that can do an ITIN application that I needed for my wife. When I did finally sit down with her, it was a mess of her calling other people trying to figure out what the drop down menu words meant on the software. She couldn't figure out how to find anything on the tax software, she took awhile to figure out why my tax numbers weren't lining up when she entered them in. I had to tell her how to use the printer because she couldn't figure out how to switch to another printer due to the first one not working. The entire thing took an hour and a half. Then to top it all off, while we were paying the expensive fee (more than double turbotax), she asked if we could make sure I don't mention all of the things that went wrong since they would reduce her time. This is exactly what she needs, to have less time with customers since her 20+ years of experience doesn't mean much anymore. First and last time I will ever use H&R. My advice to the owner, get more people trained on ITIN and make sure they know how to use the computer programs before tax season."
