"My preparer seemed to have little or no desire to communicate directly with me. I'd begun the filing process with Block around 3/15 or 3/16 ... had completed uploading all relevant docs by 3/18. Did not hear anything from the preparer or Block (other than erroneous emails from Block that I should start the filing process) after that. On 4/3 I asked for a status on the return (via online message at the Block website). Got no response. On 4/6 I asked again ... no response. I began to worry that my preparer had either left Block or taken ill. On 4/7 I called a local Block office and explained the lack of contact. The support person said that she'd schedule a call from my preparer for that evening (around 4 or 4:30). I also left a message on the voicemail at the office my preparer works out of. I didn't get any call. On 4/8 I did receive a brief online message from my preparer (I think) stating that the return was almost done; and later a message from Block stating that the r"
"Was disappointed from the start. Made appt for 15 min intro and Gail had us sit there for over an hour while she input each number by hand (no automation???). Charged over $300 and was not quoted anything in advance. Was not given any assistance to reduce our tax bill. Gail took 3 days to figure out if we could contribute to an IRA (we already knew that we could not). Website crashed on us frequently. No communication on next steps. Was not responsive to emails. I will tell friends and family NOT to us this company."
