"Excellent service! Staff was fast and friendly. I was in and out In 10 minutes counting getting loaded up with lumber. This would have been an hour process at Home depot."

"My daughter was just at the Ballston spa store on my recommendation. She bought a house in broadalbin and is pretty much rebuilding it. She does an amazing job of researching products she will be using ,if she doesn’t know she will ask someone with expertise in the particular field.she’s building a fireplace and needed fake stone. I had told her that Curtis has a nice product and should check it out. She didn’t want to go there because of bad experiences in the past with their customer service. She bought five cases of stone she liked and then asked about grouting the joints. I guess the guy gave her an attitude like he couldn’t be bothered. He told her that grout is for tile not stone. So he didn’t or couldn’t give her an answer.if he didn’t know he should have asked someone who knew. Instead she left with the stone and now has to figure out how to finish the project with another vender. She will never go back to Curtis Lumber and I won’t be able to ever recommend them. I believe they are more oriented in doing business with contractors and not so much with the do it yourself clients who may need a little more information"

"Very bad sand! My kids wanted a sandbox so we came to CURTIS LUMBER INC. and we bought 3 sandbags. BUT I found 4 ants in THE BAGS. OMG my kids were freaking out. This is not acceptable and I will never have this bad of an experience here again because I WILL be talking to your manager about this. For anybody who's reading this please stay away from the sand bags and DO NOT buy them. I wasted so much money to find 4 ANTS in my bags. Its not okay. BE CAREFUL!"
