"Don’t see how this place gets reviews. If you want to live in Hilton, I suggest going somewhere else because Parkwood Manor is not the place to be at. They do nothing to help you. They say they’re gonna fix something and the don’t fix it. They’re mailbox is always full when trying them on the phone so don’t even try calling them. They don’t follow up when they “fix something in your house” which would be very helpful if they could do that. This place is ZERO STARS if you ask me. Go somewhere else if you don’t want to wait years for something in the house to get fixed or for them to get back to you."

"I would give this trash place zero stars if I could very unprofessional management scumb bags don’t fix nothing had a hole in my ceiling for months dish washer never got fixed over 3 years this place is a dumb and needs to be ran by people that actually care about their property and the property manager Nicole W is a dirty bag"

"The only reason for my comment to shout out the maintenance guy Rob at Parkwood to job well done with the units here. For awhile he was the only one person dealing with the upkeep. Nice friendly guy that definitely deserves recognition!"

"I have lived here for 7 months and this is by far the worse place to live. I am not even exaggerating ask anyone who lives in this complex! My lease is not up for another 8 months and May could not come any quicker. I have had ongoing issues with every thing falling apart and it takes months for them to be fixed. The property manager can careless about being a genuine, humble person that values her tenants. Trying to speak to anyone higher up is like pulling teeth. The headache is definitely not worth the amount you pay. I do pay a special for rent every month but even then it is not worth dealing with this company. I know for sure they will rise my rent at the end of my lease and I refuse to pay more than I already do for this place. A couple examples of the things that do not get fixed in an appropriate time, 1. C/O detector (which is VERY important in any structure) was not fixed for a week and half. 2. Toilet was disconnected by a maintenance worker and I was told it would be replaced. I had to wait 2 full weeks for a new one but I am paying for a one and a half bath (technically wasting my money on the half bath when it isn't functioning). 3. A pipe was missing from the basement and it took at least a week to get someone to put one in. In the mean time I had a huge puddle by my washer and drier. 4. Den window has not been used since I moved in because it will not close if you open so I have no choice but to keep it close. 7 MONTHS LATER it's now being ordered and replaced. Moral of this review is if you care to have functioning place and live in a well presented place do not invest your money into this complex. Just by looking at Barrington's town homes compared to the ones next door you will see how poorly they are taken care of. 1. Fence in the back looks like trash falling apart, leaning over and paint chipping. 2. Your front step is crumbling and they do not care to fix. 3. Paint is slapped on anything that needs to be fixed inside (that's their way of fixing something). 4. Your appliances are old and yellow looking. 5. My weeds in the back grow quicker then others and it took 3 weeks for them to cut them. They were just as tall as me (and I'm not that short). 6. Rugs were put in terrible so there are holes in corners. Get your moneys worth and invest into a place where you do NOT have to hassle to get something fixed. I spoke to the regional and I was told since now things are being fixed that's what matters BUT the LONG 7 MONTHS isn't an issue. Now since I've raised all hell and jumped through hoops NOW I am getting what i need done. That's all that matters to them they cannot do anything about the 7 months I have waited for a window to be replaced but since its ordered now that's the important part. On top of it all apparently our personalities colliding (meaning the property managers and mine) is more important to address than my wait time. I do not understand any of this at all. I hold my part of the lease so I am confused why they cannot hold theres. Then again it was my fault for putting my trust in this property. LESSON LEARNED! I do not have any children and I work 8-16 hours a day 7 days out the week meaning I am barely home. There is no excuse for things to be braking even without me using them (ex. dishwasher never used before and it was leaking all over my floor labor day, trash disposal never used before and was clogged and overflowing in my sink). I will be inserting pictures of all the problems. I am more than welcome to answer any questions or speak to anyone if they are interested. I can go on and on about the complaints but there is no need the place speaks for itself. The point of renting is so that you do NOT have to deal with a mortgage and being your own maintenance. Buying a house would be less of a headache and less stress then living here. SO OVERALL I DO NO RECOMMEND!"

"Unsafe living conditions. This place is the absolute worst. Too expensive. Maintenance does NOTHING bc they are overworked and underpaid and don’t give a damn. Property management doesn’t return phone calls but they sure cash your rent check. I’ve been calling about the same problem with the basement flooding for over six months with no resolution and not even a returned phone call while my belongings get destroyed every time it rains. Many other unresolved problems. I can’t wait until my lease is up."
