Skybird Landing Apartments

"Touted originally as a low-income senior disabled apartment complex was merely a front for a mental institution complex. Rules and regulations are set for mental institution. Windows only open barely 4 in because it's a mental institution. Rules and regulations strictly reduce any rights and amenities you would expect from a typical apartment complex. Aggressive dogs on property management lies gives false information especially at tenant meetings. Building maintenance is not adhered to under proper conditions for normal building maintenance. Ie:, Gutters never cleaned. Upper floor windows never cleaned outside. If you want to live in an institution, this is the place. If you want to live in an apartment complex with freedoms-- don't bother... edited note-- after 4 years of living here and several tenants complaining,they finally cleaned the outside of the windows! And cleaned the gutters---"

"When asked at a tenant meeting why this place has so many rules it's like you are in an institution -- the reply was " we have to follow the rules of those who fund us"".. this is NOT an apartment complex. It is an institution! Windows only open 4 inches from the bottom. Top is stationary. Windows have locks on them to prevent further opening! Disruptive "" quarterly inspections"" on top of other "" inspections""!! No resolution to issues or problems from management. Management plays favorites. Paint marks or peals at the slightest touch on the walls. Cheaply put together,furnaces and air conditioners malfunctioning within the first 3 months of apt. Complex opening. If you are looking for an apartment, this is an institution. NOT an apartment complex. Many would leave but they are elderly."

"I have now lived at skybird landing for over 4 years. The staff has always been very helpful and kind to my family. They ALWAYS go above and beyond. Every time some thing broke or I had a bug they took care of it right away. They are the first complex I have lived in that actually enforces their rules and I'm so thankful! That is the reason this place is so clean and it's a safe community not just an apartment. They provide a place where you can voice your opinions with out judgement or criticism. They also provide a ton of activities, cook outs, movie night ext. This would not be possible if it wasn't for the fact that this is not just affordable living, it is also a place for people like my self to receive assistance with mental health issues. They have not only given my family an affordable place to live, but a place to thrive!"

"We have been at Skybird Landing for 4 years now and it's the best place. Staff is absolutely fantastic, residents are very friendly, apartments are beautiful the grounds are well cared for. God Bless y'all"

"Of all the private comunity secured housing I've been to and worked on, this seems to be a more reasonable opportunity for people who can't afford to live in a gated community. Security guards walk around.. secured entry. Laundry in the community laundry room for free. Wifi plus guest access. Video monitor. Higher tech-supportive facility. No smoking. Pets allowed. Smokers pavilion off to the side by garbage."
