H&R Block

"Our family came to see if we could ask some tax questions, we didn't mind if we had to pay for a consultation or not, but one of the women there (I presume to be Kathy) was unfortunately non friendly and made me feel uncomfortable that I didn't understand right away of her tax advice. It would have been preferred if I could have received a service that genuinely cared to help me understand what I needed to do, even if I had to pay for it I wouldn't have minded but she didn't need to belittle someone because they didn't understand something right away. She could have approached explaining it a different way, I mean I try to keep that mindset when I try to help people understand things in my areas of expertise. The other women seemed nice though, guess my cards weren't lucky to receive someone who could be professional."

"Went to a lady named Kathy who throughout the entire process was very rude. Continued to ask many questions about how I broke even last year when I did not, I have the back due bills to prove it so for her to assume I'm doing anything just because I made less than what most people would expect. Between that and her not being able to help me figure out why I owed money to hr block did not help the case. Will be going back to filing online immediately. Only went in this year because I could not afford to pay out of pocket for 1099-NEC addition up front."

"Way over priced, the only reason I went to H&r block was to apply for the refund advance and I was denied even though I was approved last year! I will never again pay $300+ when I can do it. Myself for free! On top of that, I made an appointment so that I wouldn't have to wait too long and while I was there a walk in customer was taken before me!! I was handed a questionnaire when I walked in that had questions that looked like they were written by a 3rd grader with no space to write answers in! The computers are slow and clunky, you would think with all the money you charge people you would be able to afford a top notch computer system"
