Town of Penfield - Shadow Pines

"Quite a beautiful and expansive park. Great place to walk, run, ski, snowshoe, and play disc golf. From what I have heard and seen, the disc golf course is quite fun and exciting, but challenging. Local cross country teams run here in the Fall. It's a mostly flat course with some rolling hills but beautiful scenery. The park used to be an old golf course. There are plans to install pickleball courts, a pavilion, bathrooms, a playground, and add more parking in the near future. Along with this, the town is looking to restore the historic Clark House and various buildings within the park boundaries."

"There is a fantastic new disc golf course here. The town with GRDGC members have been installing fantastic tee pads for all 3 tees. There is a very mucky pond that if you land in you're SOL until someone goes wading with boots. Most people follow the leash rules for dogs and are all polite. Shout out again to everyone who has helped make this course so fantastic."

"Great addition to Rochester's disc golf courses. Built where the back 9 of the old good close used to be. Got the feel of a regular golf course, sand traps, water hazards, different challenges on different holes."

"Shadow Pines USED to be a great place for (ball) golf! Now, it IS a great place for (disc) golf! The 18 hole course is free to play...I think...you can't call ahead, there's no place to call, the parking lot is full of ppl whom play (disc) golf...there from all over the country. There are trails/paths to walk/hike on. The parking is free & ample. The Clark House isn't taking reservations, but feel free to walk around the place, visit what was a grand place to eat & party."
