"Customer service was less than great. Prices extremely inflated. Female employee working was very kind and nice. Can not take owners word. Showed up at 318 pm to make a return was told has to be before 3 because management doesn’t trust their employees.fine. Showed up second time at 12:30 and was told owner has to approve return but he leaves at noon. Showed up third time at 11 am and the owner same person that told me to my face when I asked him may I return this belt if it wrong or I no longer need it. Said save the receipt. Told me this time around there are no returns on belts. Big sign in back that says it. When I never once went back to the service department. Had he made my return like he said he would I Probly would have turned around and spent 100 dollars. Instead I have not intention of going back to that store."

"I always go to Hector's for anything I need. Most recently I bought an Ariens snowblower. Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and happy to help. Hands down, best of this industry, in this area. There is a huge value added of buying here versus the big box stores..."

"LOVE this hardware store. These "old-timey" hardware stores are becoming rarer and rarer, and the small number of staff will actually give you the time of day to help you with questions or product placement. Plus it helps I live half a mile from here. I hope they stay open long after I'm gone (and I'm only 35 years old...)!"

"I enjoy going here, the staff is friendly and knows their stuff. The store is small and well-organized, making it easy to grab just what I need for a project or task. For those with wheelchairs or similar concerns: there is no accessible elevator because it's a single floor building. There is no dedicated accessible parking, but the parking lot has no painted lines at the moment so people generally park where they want. One could simply park a little further away from other vehicles in order to have more space to make getting in or out of their vehicle easier. The store's aisles, especially away from the front doors, might be a little narrow for wheelchairs, but I'm sure the staff will be more than happy to walk fetch or reach things for you. They always assist me quite a lot when I have trouble picking something up or carrying my purchases to the counter if I have a lot of stuff or something big or heavy. The store isn't as spacious and glamorous as Lowes or Home Depot, but I like it better than the other two places. I even get the staff recognizing me now when I walk in, since I'm there so frequently, getting yet more stuff for my long list of projects I want to do. If you have concerns about a mobility issue, I'm sure that you can call them and talk to them about it."
