"I read Miller's book "The Single Best Investment," and many other investment books, before I started getting seriously into the stock market in 1998. Miller's investing philosophy strongly attracted me, and I've been doing it pretty much "his way" ever since. I even exchanged several emails with him back then and found him responsive and engaging (we disagreed about Crown-Pacific, heh-heh). A great intellect. Miller is a nationally recognized expert on utilities, and his funds tend to focus on them. I'm so glad I discovered his book and was influenced by his rational approach to investment. Although I run my own portfolio of individual stocks, if you don't have the time, inclination or knowledge to personally manage your investments, I recommend the Miller/Howard options without reservation."
