"Park is along the river with great views of the shipping channel, passing boats, boldt castle and some of the islands. A nice pavilion to take cover if incase it rains. Great play ground for kids. Small swimming area that is roped off. Walk across the small bridge to a nice sitting area on a little island. Fishing from the island is allowed. Recent construction of sidewalks makes it nice for walking along the river. Park honors local hero Jack Sweet with a beautiful memorial overlooking the St Lawrence."

"The beach itself is nice, but wasn't happy with the lifeguard situation. One spent most of their time on their phone and barely any supervision if the water, and both did absolutely nothing to help with the chaos going on around them(tons of horseplay, fighting, cussing, throwing things, taking actual whole bikes into the beach, etc).one lifeguard was there almost 3 hours with zero breaks, another about 2 hours with zero breaks. They had no water breaks, bathroom breaks, etc either. The lifeguards definitely need more education and training, as well as a better support system!"

"We go every year!!! We love Boldt Castle and Singer Castle. Usually we are there for Pirate's weekend! At night we get a river view room and sit on the balcony watching the ships go by! It is so relaxing. Great food options and live music!"
