"I'm rating Renee's 3 start which is good. A fine neighborhood place filled with locals clearly enjoying themselves. Just a hole in the wall which might be an authentic thing. Had BBQ chicken Garlic Rice and a spicy cabbage slaw. I enjoyed it and for $10 it might be the deal of the century. The service was a little disjointed but thats part of the charm. FYI the bill was handwritten and included a 20% service fee and 3.3% cc fee. Please pay attention as they didnt tell us this. I think you should go and give it a try. 3 stars is fair and its really a little bit lower. Remember that 3 is good"

"Food was fresh and just like home made cooking. The staff was friendly and like any good Filipino place felt like talking to family. Will definitely stop in again next time I am in the city. The Place is busy but the wait is not long. Great for groups. Portions are sharable. Drinks are made fresh."

"My Go-To place for home cooking style Filipino food in Queens. My family and I have been coming here ever since this place opened in the 90s. Always have to get an order of sago at gulaman, lumpiang Shanghai, tapsilog and the BBQ Chicken meal with garlic fried rice. The halo halo here is also good but I just never have room after stuffing myself silly. The service is OK, not stellar, but that's what you can expect from these kind of joints. They're always super nice so that's a plus. I brought my group of friends here for lunch and would keep introducing this place to any of my non Filipino friends if they ever want to try authentic Filipino food. The prices are also great. 4 of us all had entrees, drinks and 2 appetizers to share and the bill was $100."

"I have been coming to Renee’s for many many years. I love their “silog” combos specially the fried longganisa. For me, it is the best on the menu. The combination of flavors are perfect, not too sweet and not too salty. The side vinegar adds the perfect tanginess. The outside skin is super crispy and yet the inside is moist. I just love it and I wish I could cook my longganisa like that at home. This weekend I also tried their lumpiang sariwa and tokwa’t baboy. The lumpia was just OK. The fresh wrapper was a little too thick to my liking. The veggies and sauce also lack flavor. The tokwa’t baboy was also just OK. I’ve had better version else where. The tokwa was crispy but lacks the vinegar flavor. The baboy kinda tastes like adobo with “umay” factor. I will definitely stick with my silog combos."
