"First: HAL! The Groundhog!!! Lots of parking. Easy to find if using maps. Friendly exhibits. A lot of space. Fun "wood with hole" to have your photo taken in"

"Took our granddaughter. (2 1/2) for the light show. Excellent!! They did a wonderful job decorating the place. Nice, warm, indoors. Santa was very nice during the pictures. Fair prices, money goes to a great cause, feeding the animals. Would definitely recommend!! Merry Christmas"

"The Holtsville Ecology Center's Christmas lights display is a magical experience, especially for kids. With twinkling lights that bring the festive spirit to life, it's a winter wonderland that captivates the young and the young at heart. Admission is reasonably priced at $10 per adult, and kids under 3 enter free, making it a great family outing. The opportunity to meet Santa, though a bit steep at $30, offers a wholesome and memorable experience. This enchanting light display is a must-visit destination for those seeking to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit."

"I really love this place for long walks. They also have a playground area and the petting zoo. You may have to pay for parking if you come after 8 a.m. and you may even see an ice cream they have their own concession stand I believe that's for the summer season. Great place to go with children or family and friends.. the playground is really big and the restrooms were closed when I went the other day and it's definitely dog friendly... I believe there's also a picnic.."

"A great place for a paved path walk with kids. The little zoo is well maintained and free— there are picnic tables, too."
