Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, located at 550 Aaron Court in Kingston, New York, is dedicated to providing free, high-quality civil legal services to individuals and families in need. With experienced attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, we offer advice, counsel, and representation to those facing legal issues in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster counties.
In order to better serve our community, we are seeking feedback through our 2023 Priority Setting Survey. Your input is crucial in guiding our work and ensuring we meet the needs of those we serve.
When individuals are in crisis and cannot afford legal representation, they often feel lost in the legal system. At Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, we strive to provide a holistic approach to legal assistance, increasing the chances of success for our clients. Our commitment to race equity is unwavering, and we work tirelessly to fight for equal justice for all, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender.
In 2021 alone, we handled nearly 12,000 cases and impacted over 27,000 individuals across various practice areas. With multiple locations throughout the Hudson Valley, including White Plains, Yonkers, Mt. Vernon, Peekskill, Poughkeepsie, New Windsor, Nanuet, and Monticello, we are able to reach individuals in all seven counties.
Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is proud to be the only provider of comprehensive civil legal services in the region, offering free assistance to those in need. "Legal services is amazing . Once you get approved the experience working with there team changed my life. The secretaries are so patient and nice and the housing supervisor Eline and Also Mr Gary Fuller helped me way beyond there job duties they were so patient with me for over a year my case went on but legal services lawyers Patricia Perez, and Ali Nusbaum. They worked so hard for my case. I felt like I had paid lawyers but they were here for me free because I'm broke and I qualify for free services. But please everyone read this post. Be patient when you call legal services and i promise if you are patient with there team they will fight as hard as they can to win your case . It's a long process to be approved but once you do get approved if you are patient they will stick right by your side. Thank you legal services for being here for us !!!!!"
"It seems like they just sit in that office and turn people away. I'm sure they get payed to show up to work everyday, but they don't do anything. You be hard pressed just to get the receptionist to answer the phone."
