"This park has a lot to offer, with the athletic fields and courts (and rink), playground, dog park, and pool. The pool is unheated, and there are flies that bite on some days. There is a diving area, several lap lanes, open space for "regular" recreational swimming, and a separate kiddie pool with a fountain. It's $8 for a town of hempstead resident day pass, although this past summer it was free since they opened a few weeks late."

"This place is just so unique. It kind of has an out of town feel. People are very nice. This is usually crowded playground. This playground has several unique features. They have a roller hockey rink here which is free to play full games on. I play there summer time. They have a water park with pools but it costs money. They also have many sports fields. They don’t have enough swings to keep up with the amount of people here in my opinion."

"I'm not that big on public pools. However, Oceanside pool is really nice. Not too many people, clean, good lifeguards, quiet. The green flies are annoying sometimes. Prices are $8 each for adults, and $4 each for children ages 4-9. They really should just charge $8 per family, like they do at the beach. But still a very nice pool. 20 times better than East meadow pool where you have about 100 people swimming around you."

"The pool was so nice and clean, nice temp. The changing room and showers are numerous, very easy to clean off kids and get them in regular clothes after day at the pool. Were there green flies? Yes some. Would it stop me from going and enjoying the pool....NO! Its a diamond in the ruff (I don't even wanna share this post) but I also don't wanna see it torn down so I hope Oceanside and TOH find a way to update some of the facilities and keep the pool open!"
