Universal Kitchen Cabinets

"Three years and my kitchen still is not complete. These guys came and installed my cabinets. There were a couple issues they had to come back for. I made the mistake of paying them in full. My kitchen is not complete and looks like it never will be. •It took a full two years to get a badly warped (from the day it was installed) cabinet door replaced under warranty. First it was over a year of back and forth on the phone, mostly being ignored. They finally made me drive all the way there (an hour each way) to drop the door off. Then I went months without a door. Then I had to drive back to pick it up again. I had to remove and reinstall it myself. •They mis-measured the cabinet above my refrigerator. My refrigerator would only slide back 80% of the way before hitting the cabinet. This is a standard size refrigerator that was in the room when they came to measure. They made me purchase a replacement cabinet. Then I had to have a carpenter, remove and reinstall at my expense. Again, this was another four hours of driving back-and-forth to their store and two years without my refrigerator being pushed in to rectify. •There are various scuffs, dents, and even cracks that they insist are just normal • They forgot to order end panels to cover the sides of my cabinets. So the side of a microwave is exposed and the side of another cabinet is exposed. It took three years for them to order end panels which I had to purchase. Again, I had to go to the store to order them and then go to the store again to pick them up. So another four hours of wasted time. It turns out they ordered the wrong end panels. Now they just refuse to speak to me anymore. Anytime I call they will hang up and they refuse to respond to emails."

"After wasting months of time trying to get a price for a simple cabinet order, repeated phone calls, in-person visits, etc., I ended up going with a company in Nassau County (where within 1 week picked out, had measured, and ordered). Don't waste your energy or time -- they can't even measure correctly. Very disappointed my contractor sent me there. This kitchen could have been done 10x over if they knew their stuff."
