"I had a scheduled appointment for my 9 yr. old grandson with Dr. Richard DeMaio today. We were both equally concerned about the level of care that he would receive considering some of his past experiences with previous doctors. However, not from this particular office. Just a quick backstory, within the past month, my grandson has experienced a great level of discomfort with sinus issues. He’s been challenged with sinus issues, upper respiratory infections and Asthma over a 2yr. span of time. During certain times of the month his immune system gets triggered by a lot environmental stimuli. He had experienced a severe eye infection in Dec. ‘23 and had to be transported to Westchester Medical from Montefiore in Newburgh, New York. As a result, we are in this new space of creating a better approach to his overall wellness. So many doctors have dropped the ball with this last medical incident that it’s difficult to trust the process at times. So, upon looking at some of the reviews as it relates to Dr. DeMaio, I was a little hopeful. We arrived at the office and I was eager to be presented with a breakthrough treatment plan for my grandson. To say the least, Dr. DeMaio approach was very abrasive. He entered the room that we were in and immediately started to bombard me with a series of questions. I understand medical protocol, but what I don’t understand is lack of empathy and diplomacy. Neither I nor my grandson felt seen or heard. Even with some of the procedures that were performed by Dr. DeMaio it left me and my grandson feeling empty and disregarded. I felt nervous by his jarring approach. The final outcome was that my grandson’s tonsils and adenoids were significantly enlarged. Surgery was highly recommended. Also, there was medical diagnosis made that pointed to Sleep Apnea based on a set of symptoms that were observed. At this point there were recommendations made as to what to do next however, no medication was prescribed for the enlarged adenoids. I was told to try Budesonide nasal spray as a replacement to the Flonase. I was puzzled that Dr. DeMaio mentioned this particular nasal spray as an over the counter medication. When I called my pharmacist, he was equally puzzled that he would say such a thing considering, I had insurance that would cover it. Also, I was puzzled that an antibiotic such as Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium was not prescribed to reduce some of the swelling from the adenoids so that my grandson could sleep with ease. Needless to say, I wish, I could have shared in the same sentiment as everyone else. Dr. DeMaio left an amazing impression on many of his patients. I’m sadly disappointed of our experience. Dr.’s are bound by an oath to due no harm and to render the best level of care. What an amazing privilege to have. Quality of life should always be the goal of a doctor. For a doctor to serve in ways that does not meet the real need of his/her patients is disheartening. I felt as if my grandson was just a number!"

"Dr. Koyfman is who all doctors should strive to be like. He took his time with asking and answering questions, wasn’t arrogant, wanted to find out what was causing my son’s symptoms , instead of just writing a prescription and sending us on our way. You can tell he cares for his patients. We will definitely be returning to see him. The front desk staff were friendly and answered my questions without making me feel rushed. We did have to wait awhile, but it’s worth the wait because of how the doctor takes his time when he sees you. Beautiful spacious waiting area and clean. Highly recommend!!"

"Dr Munzer was professional, courteous, gentle and precise with my not-so-patient father at his recent visit. It’s reassuring and comforting to know he is on the hands of expert care. Thank you Dr Munzer."

"This was my first time at ENT allergy and I have to say this is one of my best in office experiences with a doctor. At most, I waited about 5 minutes before I was called in. Lynn, the nurse, was friendly, caring, and really filled me in on my allergy test and what to expect. Dr Ponda really took his time, he was kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. He answered every single question I had, never felt rushed and I walked out of there with a very good understanding of my allergies, why they happen and how I can treat them moving forward. Would highly recommend going if you have allergy issues that need to be addressed."
