"Update: Dennis will be missed.. on to bigger and better! Joe is amazing!!! 4 years ago: Kierstin is THE best cashier. She is super fast, very friendly and pays attention to detail. My boys and I always enjoy going thru her line and seeing her smiling face! Steven is very fast at bagging! A great team!!!"
"I work here, and I can tell you all the managers are cool. Richard and Doug are my favorites. Doug knows how to give great advice with calm words. Store is well managed, and always in stock with what you need. Best to have your VIC Card cause it can get expensive, but with deals they have going on you can save a lot. Meat manager is funny, and will make sure the job is done right. All around great people."
"This is a tough review to write. I’m newer to the Quay and have loved it since I first saw it here. I have been to this Harris Teeter a handful of times personally, but the most frequent visits to this location is for Instacart. I’ve had issues with this store, but normally just for items not being in a location one would naturally assume they might be. However, yesterday and today I had a vastly different experience at this Harris Teeter than I have ever experienced at any Harris Teeter! When I hear Harris Teeter, I think upper echelon of grocery markets. Now maybe that’s just me, but I look at Harris Teeter as a top-tier customer service experience expectation. Yesterday I was shopping, and I had, who appeared to be the meat market manager, speak to me in a manner that I have rarely spoken to my own children in. He humiliated me in front of other customers by talking to me like I was a child! And all of this because I did not say hi how are you today… instead I said “excuse me, sir, might you be able to help me find…” Those of you who shop for Instacart will understand you are timed in this grocery store. There is an expectation to deliver quickly and your income potential Is riding on speed and accuracy, I don’t have time for small talk, but I will always be respectful as I was in this instance. He proceeded to say I’m fine how are you? I didn’t understand the questions since I hadn’t really asked any questions, so I said, excuse me, to which he again said, I’m fine how are you! Still confused, I said fine thank you? And he proceeded to, then say “now you can ask your question”. There were at least six customers around us, some of them, looking at me and looking at him, so I was humiliated. I proceeded to ask my questions to get the assistance that I needed but I was embarrassed and offended. I was in pain physically because of a recent surgery, and shocked at how I was just treated by what appeared to be a manager. I do feel the need to point out that I did speak with the head manager yesterday who gave me his apology, agreed that I should’ve never been spoken to like that, And told me if I wasn’t shopping for Instacart he would’ve paid for my groceries. Fast forward to today again shopping for Instacart. I’m in the self check out, I had one of my bags ripped so I had to pull it out of the cart and grab another bag to double bag it. When I did this it flagged the system as is if I was putting something in a bag that I hadn’t paid for yet and it called in associate to come assist. I looked to my left and right and didn’t see anybody I turn around. There is a manager staring at me with his arms folded across his chest and I looked at him to verify he was an employee first and foremost, and then he asked me, you gonna move so I can get in there? I do not know what the culture is at Harris Teeter! But every lower level associate, if you will, that I have ever come in contact with, asking for assistance, they always treated me with the upmost respect and courtesy, just as I have always done to them. I am a front line manager for a manufacturing company. I have 40 people under me as direct reports. We service a line of 400 assemblers all of those people are my customers as a logistics manager, 400 different attitudes, personalities triggers and walks of life that I have to deal with. Never in 1 million years would I ever speak to one of them in a condescending manner and they’re the workers. As a customer, I would expect to have even more cordiality and courtesy shown, especially from management! I shop for Instacart part time as a way to make extra money for extra things is needed. I don’t come to the grocery store to be disrespected by management be belittled by management, and treated poorly. I would highly encourage corporate to give some leadership development training to this location. I’ve never experienced this at any other Harris Teeter. Moving forward, I will make every effort to avoid this store, both personally and professionally. And I recommend you do the same!"
"It is always a pleasure to shop here. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is well stocked and clean."
"Great grocery store. Huge selection of fresh produce. There is ready made food like fresh pizza, Chinese buffet, sushi, sandwiches, roasted chicken. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There is a senior day on Thursday that offers a discount, the staff are extra patient, and it is safer to shop inside if medically vulnerable. During the summer there is a grill outside on the weekends serving ribs and brisket that are delicious. The in-store pharmacy is one of the best in Fuquay Varina."
