Stryker Moving & Storage Durham

"I wish zero stars was an option. I never thought that a moving company could turn my life upside down but somehow they managed. They moved me from NC to CO 2 years ago and I have just now gotten to the point where I can leave a review. After the packed up my house and stored it in a storage unit (mixed with multiple people’s items), they then attempted to charge me an additional 10K due to a storm in Louisiana (not sure why you drive through Louisiana to get to CO). I came to terms that I would never see any of my belongings again (childhood photos, family heirlooms, etc). After filing multiple police reports and hiring an attorney and another moving company, I was able to get the majority of my stuff back damaged ($4000 in furniture repairs). This is a very brief version of the events that occurred but if this and other reviews do not sway you then you deserve the outcome that you get."

"Do not use. They are scammers. They loaded all our furniture for a cross country move , then tried to double the initial quote before delivery. We ended up getting the cops involved and got another company to pickup our stuff from his storage unit and deliver. We got our stuff back damaged and missing. We even got other people’s items that they had been missing for 6+ months. Beware. They will change delivery dates, make excuses and try squeeze your for more money once they have your items. Our quote went from 6k to 14k after they had our items and we moved out of town. Cameron seems very nice at first but it’s all an act."

"Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Uncommunicative, irresponsible, rude, and feels like a scam. Can’t get them to finish my job. I’ve been missing part of my bed frame for 3 months. No one will reply to my emails or answer the phone. I am planning to sue. I am owed my items and several refunds and have been hounding Stryker for months. Please never use them. They should be out of business. Joke of a business full of apathetic scam artists. My phone number is blocked at their office and by the owner simply for asking for updates. Very unprofessional considering that’s the number they give for people to contact in other reviews."

"I book a move with this company back in April I believe schedule for June 19th. Initially the owner stated there was no deposit however after a few weeks he change the policy and said I was to pay 500 by end of may to reserve my spot…I paid the 500 and was told it would be added to my balance with the remainder due after the move was complete. The week of my move I confirmed again my 9am appt as I move across the state and had a set time to be there to retrieve my keys. On the day of my move I emailed the owner to ask if they were going to call before arrive. 9am came and went with no response. I called over 10 times sent emails messages on Facebook…no response. I had no choice but to scramble to find a new moving company last minute!!! Finally at close to 2pm someone from the company messaged me for the first time all day and said he had “no clue where the movers were but clearly they were running late”…their words not mine…because of this mess I had to drive unexpectedly 3 hours to my new how to pick up the keys before they closed at 5pm drive 3 hours back to meet my new movers then another 3 hours back to my new place…in total what would have been a 3 hour drive turned into over 9 hours driving back and forth with a small child and a puppy…luckily I was able to find someone willing to move my thinks at 6 o’clock at night as I had to be out today…this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. And I’m still waiting on my deposit back! Now it’s 11:41pm and I’ll be moving in until about 4am…"

"Cameron & Donnell arrived and jumped straight into work. This was not a usual move, as I was moving a portion of my belongings to a storage unit and then asked them to bring everything left upstairs down to the first floor. I am a handicapped senior citizen and unable to do much for myself as I tire so easily with COPD and I use a walker or cane to get around. They were absolutely wonderful and helpful. I would highly recommend them for any move, small or large. They were helpful, respectful and friendly. They were concerned and caring to me about what was going where: "You just sit and relax and I'll bring it to you to point where it is going." Again, I would absolutely recommend them. They were my Angels."
