"Highly recommend! From my experience: Professional. Honest. Knowledgeable. Good quality products. I went into Southern Roots looking for some help to finally get my front yard from 90% weeds and dirt to a decent looking lawn. I was also interested in planting some plants and flowers for a little bit better land scaping and curb appeal. I should mention I know very little about this kind of stuff. As soon as I walked into Southern Roots (my first time ever in a nursery at all) Thomas greeted me and talked to me about the lawn and then helped me understand what I would need to get it going. Not only was he extremely helpful and knowledgeable but it was very evident that he actually enjoys what he is doing and is passionate about his work too. I was not a big client spending thousands and thousands (I think I spent a total of a little less than $200) but I was treated just the same as if I was. I bought some seed, fertilizer and and lime. Thomas gave me a calendar with recommendations for healthy upkeep of the lawn throughout the year. He also recommended that I get the lawn going first and then when that is up and going I could go back and we could talk about planting some plants and flowers as well. I walked out of Southern Roots thinking, "That guy knows how to run a small business. I will absolutely be back." And... my lawn is looking the best it ever has by far!! I am a novice when it comes to lawns but I am very happy with it so far. In fact, the guy that aerated the yard for me (a neighbor that does a lot of the aerating of yards in the neighborhood) came back to see how my lawn was doing and he asked me where I got my seed bc he wanted to recommend it to his other clients. "I cannot say enough about the selection! This is not a regular nursery. The property is absolutely beautiful! Any plant/ tree you can imagine is there. Exotics and domestics. And the store inside is large and filled with treasures and trinkets. YOU HAVE TO GO! Thomas and all the other staff is awesome."
