"One of must see places in Poughkeepsie. We always park the car next to the Mid-Hudson Bridge (plays Music) and start the loop by passing the mid Hudson walk all the way passing by the train station, get to the walkway over the Hudson Bridge, visit the Welcome center and finish the loop. Once every other year. It’s a wonderful experience. Especially if you know the history of the bridge. Check information and details while enjoying your time."

"It was a very scenic overlook to the mid-hudson bridge from the highland side and the landscaping was pretty around the memorial. Unfortunately the grass was browned."

"Limited parking, no restrooms however a great place to view the Mid Hudson Bridge plus going down the stairs you enter Fanny Reese State Park."

"If you're interested in a serious hike with steep trails that are walkable... then this is the spot for you. Not very scenic but located in a densely forested area. If you're looking for views, then go somewhere else but if you're serious about hiking then this is where it begins. Plus small parking area at the entrance with more parking further down the road."

"This small park is at the end of a approximately half mile walk from the Walkway over the Hudson Park. It's a good place to see the Park and the bridge over the Hudson. The Johnson Park is right next to the FDR Bridge. There are some explanatory panels about the area and the various parks. There is not much else in this Park- it's essentially just a way of getting from one bridge to another."
