"I had an appointment scheduled for Dr. Silverman last year and was called by the office explaining they had new physician Dr. Sklar and would I consider seeing this doctor because it's a long wait for months to see Dr. Silverman, so I then agreed. Today, was the 2nd appointment seeing Dr. Sklar, my family just moved to the new house almost 45 minutes away and we were running late, as told to the receptionist over the phone. We were assured we will still be able to see Dr. Sklar, when we arrived we told she didn't want to see my child and to reschedule, after driving in the rain for 45 minutes with 2 children. They also had us sit for 30 minutes to only say again she won't see my child. This was totally inconsiderate and not professional. They offered to reschedule the appointment on the 1st day of school (ridiculous) and then only say they only had an appointment available in December. I wouldn't recommend this physician if this is how she treats families in this situation. If it was too late, they should have rescheduled over the phone instead of having me pack my whole family in the car, also drive in the rain. Erin Rivera also, said she would call back today to see if she can get us in earlier, until then I will be looking to schedule another appointment with another developmental behavioral physician with better bedside manner and staff. Thank you but no thank you, we already waited for this appointment with Dr. Sklar for 6 months."

"So this is a long review… just a forewarning. I really felt the need to share this, because I waited one year to see Dr.Silverman; and truly it was so worth the wait. I had concerns my daughter potentially had autism, since she was literally non verbal and about to be 3. I had taken it upon myself to really sit down everyday and teach her vocabulary. Anyways fast forward we saw dr Silverman in April of 2022. She was extremely thorough, went through so many questions and explained anything I didn’t understand. Our appointment was not rushed at all. She answered all my questions and provided me with more information.it was about a 2 hour appointment. I will say this spend some time bring any early intervention reports you have or reports from therapists if you’re child is already seeing anyone. Write down questions because it’s a long appointment. I even kept a small diary where I wrote her behavior down for the day, and hat set her off to have a tantrum. Any odd behaviors. Go as prepared as you can. It will make your appointment that much more valuable for you and Dr.Silverman. I’m so happy we had the opportunity to see her. In a moment when you feel like your world is just upside down she is definitely there to help guide you and provide answers. I hope this review helps some of you prepare and also look forward to your appointments with her."
