"the owner of this establishment should not have chose a job in customer service to start off with. my two-year-old son who I've been potty training had to pee yesterday while I was in the store and I went and asked the lady at the register if he could use the bathroom and I was told I needed to go around the block which anyone with kids (the owner included) knows that a two-year-old cannot hold it like that. I have also brought bags and bags of nice clothing into the store and nothing was taken but when I look around the store I see clothes hanging up with HUGE holes in them and all sorts of other raggedy stuff. Lastly, when I did bring in a large amount of clothes I heard them whispering and laughing while they looked through them. I could go on and on but I'll just leave it at this. Going into this establishment is an all around horrible experience and I would not recommend it to anyone. I won't be giving this store another dime of my money."

"Love the exchange. They carry a ride range of items, you never know whats in from week to week, so you should always make sure you visit to check things out. The staff are always friendly and engaging. Item's are organized and easy to look through. A must stop shop if in Roxboro."

"Great place to shop locally. I have found good deals on great clothes and shoes. Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The Exchange has a nice and clean atmosphere and things are always organized and easy to see. I am thankful we have a local place to consign gently used items. The Exchange also donates money made from the $1 sale items each month to local organizations. In addition to that, they offer discounts to our foster parents each month. I would highly recommend anyone checking out this local business!!"

"Now I am all about supporting our local businesses. Our local entrepreneurs who contribute to making our community great.I bought shoes that I just love. Well one of the shoes is 7 1/2 and the other is a 10. I went into The Exchange where I love to shop and I spotted these cute shoes in my size section, so of course I tried "one" and it fit great and looked good too! I was thrilled because I had an outfit for them already in mind. I don't wear shoes as soon as I buy them. I wear them when I wear the outfit I bought them for. I tried this and low and behold that size 10 shoe revealed itself! (I should have checked both shoes out when I bought them, especially at a used shop; lesson learned) So needless to say I called them. I was told several different things over a 3 day time period before I finally spoke to the owner, who asked me about having the tags and receipt. Of course I don't have them. So she checked in the computer for my name and said it had been 30 days since I had been in there and those weren't the shoes I bought, however she didn't check the account with my name spelled wrong. I told her every pair of shoes I bought from her. She commented that there were no 7 1/2 size listed for me. Again, my other account wasn't checked. I also told her that a couple of the shoes I bought were a size bigger because they ran small. So she preceded to tell me she couldn't take them back without her tag because, "I don't even know if those are my shoes." "I have 13 thousand items in stock". So she refused to allow me to return them or exchange them because it was 30 days since I had been in the store and didn't show I bought a size 7 1/2 and it wasn't fair to the consigners. So me, a paying customer to her and the consigner that buys and contributes to a local business (her livelihood) is just not good enough for her to at least let me exchange them for something else. She said she was not taking them back it wasn't fair to the consigners and her policy is to return within 30 days. Then suggested that I donate them! Donate those shoes! So now I am stuck with shoes that don't match because as she said, I don't tag shoes that don't match." Well someone on her staff does. Her staff has always been indifferent to me when I have gone in there. They talk amongst themselves about the customers that come in and also go through what is brought in and set aside what they want for themselves. I had to ask about what an account was, so all the times before that when my name wasn't asked I did not receive credit for what I purchased. When I did give them my name they realized I was in their system wrong because of the spelling of my name and created a new account. This store owner did not check that account. This store owner is rude and unapologetic. I will not be referring anyone I know to this establishment. Nor will I shop there again."
