"My husband and I walked in on a whim “just looking” to upgrade my ring for our ten year anniversary. I did not expect to find the perfect ring (especially since the cut and setting I was looking for is somewhat rare)-but I did! Ballantyne Jewelers is unlike any other jewelry store I have ever been in. First of all, it has a large selection of jewelry at a caliber not easily found in Charlotte. But even more impressive than the jewelry is the staff! Everyone is so welcoming and warm. Simon is so genuine, honest, professional, with high emotional intelligence- the real gem in the store. I have found a lot of jewelers to be pretentious, disingenuous, pushy, use cheap sales tactics, and at worst: dishonest. He is the reason I felt comfortable enough to say yes to my husband buying me my dream ring. If I didn’t feel like they were genuine or if I felt pushed in any way to make a purchase I would have left the ring in a heartbeat. I appreciated his patience with us when making the decision to purchase, never interjecting comments of scarcity or over complimenting the ring to try to sway me in any way. That is so rare when jewelry shopping. And the ring is seriously gorgeous! They hand select their diamonds that they mount themselves and the quality shows. I could not be happier with the entire experience! It was very special and it felt more than just “buying a ring” It will be an experience I remember for a lifetime. "Nothing but great things to say about Ballantyne jewelers!! From the moment my fiancé and I walked in to preview our options, Simon was fantastic. He gave us time to walk around and view what I liked, then took the time to sit down with us and try the rings on. He allowed us to customize the ring as we liked, and view the actual diamonds as well. Simon insured us that no questions were dumb, and was beyond helpful! My fiancé ordered the ring, and it took around 3 weeks to be finished. I am beyond pleased with the ring itself and the service we have been provided thus far. We will do sure come here for our wedding bands!!"

"I don’t ever leave reviews for places, but I was blown away by the experience here at Ballantyne Jewelers. Simon was incredible in guiding me through the experience of purchasing an engagement ring. From the moment we walked in in January, Simon was able to show us all of the different options we had in terms of customizing a ring. My Fiance knew what she wanted, and Simon did an amazing job of helping to build it out. It took about 4 weeks from the original design to getting a prototype, which was an awesome added benefit. It then then another 2-4 to get the ring back, which ended up EXACTLY as he described. Overall, the process was easy with the guidance of Simon and his team. I’d 12/10 recommend to anyone looking to purchase a ring!"
