"I had arthroscopic surgery March 2022. I had previously gone to another PT purely based on the location of the office. It took a long time to even activate my quad. And even longer to do anything else. I continued to have pain just walking, which made my job as a personal trainer that much more difficult. I made everything that I was told by my other PT make sense in my head. I kept telling myself that it was fine and I just needed to push through it. It's all part of rehab right? And then I saw Meagan. She heard me. Like really heard me. She understood that this wasn't right, even for someone who has the background that I do. We started over. No loading. No squatting. Just isometrics to strengthen that quad so the patellar tendon could chill. For what seemed like foreverrrr. Today, almost 8 full months post op, we re-evaluated and I am nearly even in quad size! We did our things and then she asked me if I wanted to back squat. The idea was so far out of my head I wasn't sure she was serious. We started small. Just the bar. No pain. Added 20lbs. No pain. Added 20lbs. Got through 3 reps and I think this is where I realized, "I'm squatting and it doesn't hurt!" Finished the set. Still no pain. Cried happy tears. Added 20lbs. No pain. 110# and probably could have done a little more but didn't want to overdo it. NO PAIN. Advocate for yourself. If something doesn't feel right, trust it. If someone is not listening, find someone who will. Find Meagan. You won't regret it!"

"The Syracuse Metro area does not have a PT program that is as comprehensive as Return to Compete Physical Therapy. The owners, Sean and Meagan, are highly motivated individuals who want nothing more than to see your athlete succeed. We came to RTCPT earlier this year after our son tore his ACL in October 2020. He was blessed to receive surgery from a great surgeon with no complications, and we started his PT with a different practice. They did a good job, but they seemed to very much treat all of their patience the same techniques, whether they were athletes, elderly, or middle-age recovering from an injury in efforts to get back to work. After 5 months, our son was told he was fit to compete again...and they sent us on our way. However, the surgeon said he would not clear him for competition until he was at least 9 months post-op. So I reached out to someone who's opinion I value highly, and he told me about Sean and Meagan. They set aside time to meet with us. And during that time we all put together a plan to get him back in the game. They went over the plan and catered the plan to where he was currently and what his specific sport of focus was. Meagan would continue to rehab his knee using state of the art (yet proven) methods. While Sean "pre-habed" him. Making sure the rest of his muscle groups would be ready to support his tendons and ligaments once he did get back to compete. They also stayed in constant communication, not just with us as the parents, but with his coaches. Setting up Zoom calls to update everyone on how he was progressing. Designing a timeline that would put him back on the field of play, without any added risk of re-injury (obviously there's always that risk, but it was their goal to mitigate as much as possible). It's the kind of personal touch you just don't expect to get this day and age. As of this writing, I can happily say my son is back on the field. And he looks stronger and more explosive than ever thanks in large part to Sean and Meagan's expertise in training athletes. Again, if you're looking for the most comprehensive PT in the Region, look no further than Return to Compete Physical Therapy."
