"Hockey. To summarize this place in one word whether it be the men's or women it's always a good time fun can be pretty rowdy but it's not a hockey game if it isn't that I've been coming here since roughly 2017 when the Albany Devils left what is today MVP Arena after the realization that there are local college teams in the area thanks to the mayor's cup as prior I had only known about the Albany River Rats from when I was little in the Albany Devils whom took over the reins until a year after I graduated high school. really good price generally the men's teams go from $15 to $18 and the women's are generally $5 to $8. However only the men's games have a concession stand and take card the womens games have a included coffee and snack table and only accept paper currency so keep that in mind if your like me and try to support both . Now in a addition to hockey sometimes there's open ice skating and concerts but I personally dont have anything to share on those as I haven't been when its in that configuration"

"Houston Field House is a nice college hockey rink. Most of the seats in the rink are very good and have excellent sight lines. As soon as you walk in you will notice that the floor is higher than the ice rink. This is noticeably different from most other hockey rinks. The total seating capacity for the rink is 4,800. All seats are chair backs. Some of the seats on the corner have obstructed views because of the support columns. Sections 4,5,18, and 19 are the sections to avoid sitting in because of the support columns. The atmosphere of the rink is laid back, and fans here know their hockey. Depending on opponents some games sell out at the rink, but most do not. Concessions are available for reasonable prices, by stadium standards. There is a team merchandise store near the entrance of the field house. There are fan giveaways, entertainment, and chuck a puck at most games. There are also nice displays of RPI hockey championships and retired players’ numbers. You can buy tickets online or at the box office. There is plenty of free parking nearby."

"Less expensive than a movie night out ($10 senior Tix), concession prices well below average! $5 Lg. popcorn, $3 for a 24oz drink. We saw a great game RPI vs NU with overtime and a shootout ending - very exciting! Great venue."

"Very nice arena for viewing the game but the chairs and rows are all a bit too close together. Parking for general admission is very far away, and we got there about an hour before the game."

"Fun experience! General admission tickets are $15/person and you get great seats. The pep band helped to amp up the crowd, which was bigger than I expected. The concession stand is reasonably priced - $2 for hot cocoa. Parking and leaving was easy although it may be more challenging if you have mobility issues because we did have to walk a short way uphill."
