"I can’t say enough about Master Eyler’s karate program at Trinity Martial Arts. As a parent and a teacher, it’s a privilege to attend his classes as an observer each week. Not only am I impressed by the rapport he builds with a huge number of students, but the respectful and assertive communication he maintains with each child - regardless of their level. My child is in a beginner’s class - students come in at all different levels with all different backgrounds. We aren’t sure karate is our kid’s “thing” but we know he’s getting a lot out of being a student at Trinity. Master Eyler is an expert - but he’s not afraid to relinquish the control of instruction to his assistant teachers and mentor students. The experience that these young students are getting by instructing their peers is priceless. I am SO grateful that my five year old is interacting with these older children who engage him in respectful, confidence-building commentary. This all trickles down from Master Eyler, and the program that he has built. The pride students take in their instruction is apparent. The students *shout* their creed. “We are dedicated! We are motivated!” They are learning not only a martial art, but social emotional skills that will serve them in a variety of situations. He treats all students like family, knows when they need a pat on the back or a motivating push in the right direction. Master Eyler has built a community that my son is proud to be a part of. I watch each class as a parent, but I learn a lot as an educator as well. Thank you Master Eyler for giving our child this opportunity. Like I said, karate may not be our kid’s “thing,” but boy do we hope he sticks with it."
