Reviews
"Sad to report that these schools are a SCAM. Very impersonal, disconnected leadership. My child and many students became overly stressed and felt forced to leave mid-year."
"Children at Uncommon get accepted into college at 4 times the rate of similar schools. Principals prefer working at Uncommon because they can meet kids where they are. Teachers get real quality professional development. Mothers I’ve spoken to are what made the biggest impression. That going to Uncommon simply changed the range of opportunities available to their children. “The educators have very high expectations and back it up with a lot of support …and everyone knows it.”"
"Students here are treated like prisoners. I went on a tour and there were children literally coloring worksheets with grey pencils. They weren't allowed to use colored pencils. The place was silent and very sad. Little enthusiasm about learning like their website suggests."
"The schools are ran so robotic. My son is a student at one of the middle schools and it is horrible and sad. Every year they get rid of teachers and get new ones. The staff are so mean to the students, they talk to the students as if they are in boot camp. The principal is so dismissive when you make a complaint and he doesn’t do anything to help the situation! I’m so sorry I ever sent my son here!"
"The high schools are ran like correctional facilities. The children are desocialized and taught to operate like robots. All of the teachers stick together, even when one is wrong. If there's an issue, it will be a constant uphill battle. Don't send your kid here. They will hate school."
