"First let me say that Dr carlton Miller is an excellent doctor. He treated my mother for many years and he has been my doctor for many years as well. My complaint today has nothing to do with him whatsoever. I called early today about my caugh and congestion I've been experiencing since I was diagnosed with covid on August 25th. The nurse that called me was abrupt and snappy on the phone. I was enquiring if I could have developed a secondary bacterial infection. She said she would contact the doctor on call and get back with me. That was around 10 this morning I've yet to hear anything. I had my second cataract surgery Monday it went well but I'm a little slow getting around. Today's experience with the nurse was not good."

"I was a patient from 2014-2022. I saw Dr. McCrary for many years, then care was transferred to Dr. Jean Toppin when McCrary left the practice. I have traveled for school and now work for a few years but wanted to keep the same PCP for continuity of care. My mom and brother left Novant Health due to Dr. Toppin’s poor care so maybe I should’ve seen this coming. In my experience, Dr. Toppin isn’t interested in helping patients lead healthier lives if it isn’t convenient for her. She used false information to justify her changing my health care plan without giving me proper notice, without providing appropriate resources or telling me what I needed to do to continue of the agreed upon plan of care. When I told her the information she used as justification was baseless and incorrect, she unprofessionally argued with me and gaslighted me through mychart messages and then quickly discharged me from care to cover herself. This has really set me back my health progress and has impacted me long term. I reached out to Gale Greggor regarding this instance but I missed her call and when I called her back she never returned my call. The bar for quality healthcare these days is on the floor."
