"One of the WORST. EXPERIENCES. EVER. I don't even know where to start. First, when doctor entered the room, she asked with a disapproving face whether my name was Russian and when I pointed out that, no, my name is Uzbek and I'm from Uzbekistan, she very quickly replied with apparently disgusted face "well, almost Russian". SERIOUSLY? It's okay, I'm here to resolve my issue, right, why should I care if my doctor is racist? But my problems didn't stop there. She didn't examine my ears and my eyes, but my post-visit notes say that she did and she didn't find any abnormalities. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, she never told me what my diagnosis was and just prescribed me a medication; she clearly dismissed me; she was so annoyed when I tried asking questions. I felt so sorry for coming, for causing so much discomfort to her with my existence. I'm just so devastated; I never felt so belittled in my life. Doctors are the people who you feel most vulnerable with and when they not only dismiss you, but also treat you like that, I’m out of words. I will be raising this issue with Duke systems, this is unacceptable treatment of the patient."

"After a completely invalidating experience prior to my visit with Dr. Yu, I was really hoping to finally find good care for an acid reflux problem that has been completely debilitating. Dr. Kathy did take my concerns seriously and investigated the complaint. However, after diagnosing me she gave me a google print out with extremely basic information. When I started to ask questions I felt dismissed and she told me to just read the packet. The packet did not answer my questions, and I was left paying for a big bill with no treatment options nor any care from my doctor. I will not be returning."

"The receptionist and nurse were very extremely friendly. However, Dr. Yu was not as pleasant. Looking back at my visit, it honestly felt like I was bothering her by going to my appointment. She really did not try to diagnose or treat. She asked a few questions and then told me we can run an eng test. She did not explain what the test was or what it will do or determine. She did not really go very far to explain anything. She kind of abruptly got up and left the room. This is not what I expect when I see a doctor. I honestly could have gotten better care from many other doctors. I personally feel that she really didn’t care and couldn’t be bothered. This is not what anyone wants from a doctor. Honest take away: I would try to find a better doctor that explains things to you and tries to help."

"Dr. Yu is absolutely an amazing doctor! I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She did everything to get a quick answer as to why my fiancé had a swollen lymph node for 4 months. The receptionist is also very friendly. Love talking with her while waiting on my fiancé to see the doctor. Just an all around amazing experience. Best doctor I've seen in my life."

"I saw Dr. Yu for a "lump" that developed in my neck. Being a dentist, I knew it was abnormal and needed attention. Dr. Yu was very professional, kind and patient with me. She performed a painless biopsy, scheduled me for a CT scan and then reviewed the findings with me. She guided me to the decision to have surgery by giving me options, but with enough information to feel comfortable about the decision. I have scheduled the surgery for 3 weeks away, and feel I am in great hands with Dr. Yu. Great, friendly staff and beautiful office!"
