"As a bride, client and renter I am super dissatisfied and disappointed with the professionalism of the owner of the event space, Tom Roberts. I would not recommended anyone conducting business with him. We are still due a refund, he failed to meet multiple promises, failed to uphold contractual obligations, did not meet with us the entire wedding weekend or respond to make sure we had a key and access to the space, and we have not heard from him since the wedding (over three weeks ago). More details below. ____ We booked the venue in December of 2016 for our wedding, and went to the venue two months out from the wedding, August 2017 to meet with our coordinator and noticed the outdoor area had been dug up to place a pipe, and uneven red clay was left exposed where we were planning to hold our ceremony. We contacted Tom and he promised to fix this issue, and confirmed through email. A few weeks later in September 2017 I received a call from Tom and asked him to send me photos of the progress on the ground where we planned to hold our ceremony, he called me back and said that nothing had been done, but again promised it to be fixed. Fast forward one week before the wedding my coordinator was there to look over the area, and the area where we planned to have a ceremony was still covered in red clay. From this point on Tom became impossible to contact. Due to the thoroughness of my coordinator she was able to get him to find some acceptable form of ground cover, but as client we were still dissatisfied with the owner not upholding his promises and contractual obligations. Then at the rehearsal Tom failed to respond to communications about appropriately setting up a partition wall so it was structurally sound, and failed to meet with us to give us a key to the venue itself! Throughout the entire weekend I never heard from Tom and I have not heard from him since and it has been over 3 weeks. We are still owed a refundable $100 cleaning fee. I would not recommended anyone doing business with this place and owner. Super unprofessional, which is disappointing for such an important time in our lives."
